Fairfield Inn & Suites Portland South/Lake Oswego

Clean and comfortable stay in a nice forestry setting. This is a suburban location, walkable to restaurants, not charming and historic, but, rather modern and cookie cutter. Totally met our expectations of a Marriott property and would definitely stay here again.

Surprise… no water in the room… no daily housekeeping… the toilet plugs up… call for maintenance?… no, they tell you to come to the desk and get a plunger… wow… worst Marriott stay ever, and I’m a platinum member! At least there’s free parking

Fairfield’s are predictable at their price point. Clean rooms, comfy beds and pillows, good free breakfast, but weak temperature control, noisy hallways, tiny bathroom counters, and no blackout shades. But it’s always a good option at the price point. My frustration is this location doesn’t recognize their Titanium members. They had upgraded rooms available all three nights I was there, but I wasn’t offered them because of some “systems issue”. If you’re Bonvoy platinum or above, I’d recommend either of the other two Marriott properties within a few minutes.

This was our 2nd stay in 6 months and the only difference was that masks are no longer mandatory. We were here in November 2021 and April 2022, both times for 4 nights. Hotel is quiet, our room was on the 3rd floor with 2 comfortable queen beds, fridge but no microwave which was a huge minus. You have to go down to main floor to use microwave. Hotel is clean, staff was excellent, friendly and polite. Lots of options for dining and shopping nearby and Portland is only few minutes away. Breakfast was boring, same option every day - egg cheese omlette, sausage patty, waffles. Coffe was excellent and kudos to breakfast lady, she personal and super friendly. We'll be back for our 4th stay very soon!

The owner of this hotel should be very proud of their employees. The hotel was very cleaned and spotless. Each day the staff would clean the entire lobby, breakfast buffet area and our rooms. Our bathroom was clean as well as the common area bathroom. The lady running the breakfast area was very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!

2 nights stay (Friday/Saturday). Plumbing issue when I arrived. Staff offered To move me to a nearby hotel. However, problem was resolved in a couple of hours. Great facility. amazing staff. Terrific breakfast. - great selection. Room was perfect. Spacious for one. On second floor , as requested. Near highway and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

For this price point, I can’t imagine a better hotel. Free hot breakfast, so I made myself a hot waffle. Free Showtime. Noon check out. Super friendly front desk staff. I’ve stayed at many hotels in the area and I’ll be coming back here for sure.

I've rated three Marriott properties over the years, Two (One in Ogden Utah, and the other in Tukwilla Washington) were warnings to avoid. The fairfield Inn in Lake oswego Oregon however, is a true GEM for the brand. I can't say enough good about the staff and desk management. They were all so helpful and attentive! The facilities are currently being refreshed a bit here and there, but even so, the room was great, everything was working as we would expect, and the service exceptional. We've stayed there several times in the past, and I would not hesitate to stay again and again. If you are looking for great location near portland, without staying IN portland, this is a great choice. Walking to great restaurants, close to even more, and beautiful surroundings. My compliments to the hiring for the staff and desk associates. Marriott got this team just perfect!!!!

Booked this hotel every visit to Lake Oswego. Our last visit out June 9-13 was for a celebration of life. While out there a family member had gotten sick and wasn't able to join in the celebration. Heidi in the dining room made every effort to make sure we were accommodated with food and kept food going after their regular dining hour's. She (Heidi) was pleasant, very professional and took care of our need's while there. She made us feel very comfortable and at home, willing to help where she could. The daytime and night time managers were very accommodating as well with our situation kudo's to the staff at this location. Of course our next trip out we will definitely stay again! Will also tell our friend's and family about your staff.
